Chantal Spleiss' Biography
Dr. Chantal Spleiss studies pedigrees since 1998 when she bought her first Quarter Horse. The focus on different traits changed during the years and she extended the studies to Thoroughbreds. Since 2005 she owns the Rocking Wolf Ranch in Canada, where she breeds Quarter Horses that are successfully trained and shown by Lisa Mayer in Reined Cow Horse, Reining, Cutting and AQHA events.
In 2014 Chantal Spleiss started allbreedGENETICS, a free database with equine genetic markers that is fully searchable and features visibly rated data quality. In 2017 she founded MagicMatchGenetics (FB) and started to offer Pedigree Analysis and Mating Advice to the public.
Chantal Spleiss was born and raised in Switzerland. She graduated in 1997 with a master of science in biochemistry and in 2005 with a doctor's degree in technical sciences both from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland.

Chantal Spleiss wrote a genius book not only how genetics and pedigree patterns work in TBs but also an interesting perspective about natural selection. This book is for everybody who wants to discover a new way of thinking. She explains short and easy why a group is stronger with unique individuals and shows how fascinating and smart nature works.

Chantal's book: Pedigree Patterns of Thoroughbreds and the Theory Behind explores the most advantageous design for building dominance in specific ancestors. With her scientist's background she has been able to identify the presence of nature's own perfect formation: fractals, in some of the greatest Thoroughbreds. In a easy to follow narrative she leads you into the subject and uncovers that the perfect symetry of nature can be translated into our breeding decisions. She also discovered in the best performers possess not only fractal design but a variant called the Golden Ratio. Prepare to be fascinated.
