Chantal Spleiss' Biography
Dr. Chantal Spleiss studies pedigrees since 1998 when she bought her first Quarter Horse. The focus on different traits changed during the years and she extended the studies to Thoroughbreds. Since 2005 she owns the Rocking Wolf Ranch in Canada, where she breeds Quarter Horses that are successfully trained and shown by Lisa Mayer in Reined Cow Horse, Reining, Cutting and AQHA events.
In 2014 Chantal Spleiss started allbreedGENETICS, a free database with equine genetic markers that is fully searchable and features visibly rated data quality. In 2017 she founded MagicMatchGenetics (FB) and started to offer Pedigree Analysis and Mating Advice to the public.
Chantal Spleiss was born and raised in Switzerland. She graduated in 1997 with a master of science in biochemistry and in 2005 with a doctor's degree in technical sciences both from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland.
